Azad Shahr has the largest population of people with disabilities

An expert responsible for the well-being of Yazd province said that 10 percent of the population of the Yazd city are residents of Azadshahr.
According to Mahmoud Asayesh, on the basis of spatial information obtained from people with disabilities in Yazd, the most disabled people in Yazd are Azadshahr residents.
He added: Imamshahr area of ​​Yazd is also 6.33% of the second area in terms of accommodation for people with disabilities.
Asayesh, on the spatial information of people with disabilities in other parts of Yazd, said: people with disabilities on Noveb Safavi 3.31 percent, Revolution Street with 3.9 percent, Dashti Blvd 3.64 percent, Imam Street 3.55 percent, Safaye 3.40 percent, Kashani Street 3.26 percent, Boujad Fajr Decade 3.21%, Mahdi Street is 3.07% resident.
The expert responsible for the well-being of Yazd province, emphasizing the proper use of spaces and public transportation in these areas, said: "Facilitate the accessibility of disabled people and other targeted groups, such as the elderly, children, patients and pregnant women, to urban spaces and transportation." Public transportation in these areas should be a priority for the municipality.
He noted that the well-being of Yazd province announced the location of persons with disabilities to the Islamic Council of Yazd City in order to accommodate public spaces and accessibility of public transportation and bus stations in these areas.
