The head of the city's welfare office announced the opening of three non-governmental centers at a cost of more than two billion rials in the city.
 Alireza Alizadeh added that these centers include the Center for Child Welfare, Consultation and Charity, which will be operated by the private sector with the support of the government.
He said the Mehriz Children's Welfare Center is the only central city in the Yazd province for the first time.

Alizadeh added that most of the roads in the city center of Mehriz are not suitable for the elderly and disabled people, and disabled people are facing serious problems traveling around the city.
