The Yazd Yazd Welfare Directorate said at the inauguration ceremony
that the center was established with the participation of the
nongovernmental sector to provide rehabilitation and education services
to children with autism spectrum disorder.
Dr. Jalil Efati, referring to the implementation of the Autistic
Spectrum Screening Plan in Yazd, said that with the implementation of
this plan, 1200 children with autism spectrum disorder were identified
in Yazd.
He said the development of nongovernmental centers in order to provide
training and rehabilitation measures, said that the existence of such
centers and training provided to them by families would be effective in
children's rehabilitation.
Dr. Efati added that the family knows how to behave in relation to the
behavior of the child with autism and to know and control the stimulus
and is taught by these centers.
It
is worth mentioning that the Center for Autism Spectrum Disorder has
been set up to identify and provide education and rehabilitation
services for children with autism spectrum.
