Carbafi Workshop for Women Head of Ardakan Family Welfare inaugurated

The Carbafi Workshop on Women in Welfare Supported Households was inaugurated in Ardakan on the occasion of Government Week.
In a ceremony on Wednesday, Alireza Akhadi congratulated all employees, staff and government departments of the city on remembrance and commemoration of the martyrs of Raja'i and Bahonar.
He further stated that handicrafts work from different angles is effective in employment: Most of the workers in this field are women-specific households, which enables them to work in a safe environment.

Ardakan deputy governor said: Most of these jobs play a vital role in revitalizing the country's historical traditions and culture and are considered green productions, with little capital to create sustainable employment for women.

On the other hand, linking these jobs with families covered by welfare is one of the effective ways to provide for the livelihoods of these physically disabled and underprivileged.

The head of Ardakan welfare said: "This workshop has been launched with the aim of employment and social, cultural and economic empowerment of the family and women empowerment target group."
Hamidreza Paydarfarf said: Currently, there are three women head of households in the city who are in charge of this institution due to the death of their spouse or divorce.
She added: One of the ways to empower women-headed households is to set up and set up women-headed household cooperative groups, based on which women-heads of households who are empowered and age-matched, with the formation of female-headed household cooperatives, will return to early economic activity. They work together to achieve economic independence.
She continued: There are five groups of female assistants in Ardakan that are involved in activities such as traditional bread making, carpet weaving, carpet, jajim and tailoring, embroidering and carpet weaving.
This productive workshop provides employment opportunities for four caretakers, housewives in person and at home.
Craftsmanship is one of Ardakan's forgotten arts and traditional textile industries woven in Ardakan.
This art is also known as "cartouche", "karshok" and "karkarbas" but its common name is carbafi. These crafts are woven individually and at home.
Carbuffy dates back to the Timurid era, and this traditional handmade cloth is used as a garment for all kinds of women's tents, night tents, bedspreads, bedspreads, fabrics, blankets, tablecloths, napkins, towels, plus, henna bags, etc. Which unfortunately is now confined to the tissue of the towel.
