The World Elderly Week is held from the third to the ninth of September with the slogan "Equal opportunities for all ages".

The deputy head of welfare of Yazd province said: "October 9th is named every year as World Elderly Day and this year the slogan of this day is" Equal opportunities for all ages ".

Mohammad Hossein Ghannamat on welfare programs for this week said: Visiting the elderly centers, celebrating the elderly week and honoring the elderly in day care and elder care centers, holding a provincial council meeting are some of the programs this week.

He referred to the Aging Week Days: Wednesday, October 5 (Elderly Day, Health and Lifestyle), Thursday, October 5 (Elderly Day and Family and Community Solidarity), Friday, October 5 (Elderly Day, Old Cultural, Religious and Dignified Traditions), Saturday, October 5 (Elderly Day, Social Welfare and Enabling Environment), Sunday, October 5 (Elderly Day, Justice, Citizenship and Legal Support), Mon-Fri (Elderly Day) Social Activism and Participation) is named Tuesday, October 5 (Elderly Day and NGOs).
