Visual screening of children 3 to 6 years old begins in mid-July

The program for the prevention of lazy eye and other visual disorders for children aged 3 to 6 will start in mid-July at the same time as the country in Yazd.
 Yazd province's deputy for welfare development said: "The national program for the prevention of lazy eye and other visual impairments for children was held every year in November, this year due to the prevalence of corona and the possibility of its recurrence in the second half of the year." It has been changed to July.
Dr. Nasser Sabbaghzadegan added: "Children's vision screening will start on July 6, according to the plans made."
Referring to the closure of kindergartens, he said: "This year, screening projects will be carried out in permanent vision assessment centers."
Regarding the implementation of this project in the days of Corona, the Deputy Minister of Welfare Prevention Development of Yazd Province said: Screening projects for the prevention of disabilities will be implemented according to the protocols developed by the country's Welfare.
Referring to pediatric hearing screening according to the developed protocols, he said: "The hearing screening protocol has been prepared for two weeks and the process has resumed."
