Mehriz City Council announced its readiness to cooperate and
coordinate to provide more favorable services in the area of urban
amenities for the disabled.
According to the Mayor's Public Relations Department, Zare, chairman
of the City Council of Mehriz, said at the meeting of the Disability
Week: "The City Council is ready to cooperate to fit urban furniture in
accordance with urban planning standards and in accordance with the
Comprehensive Guidance on the Protection of the Disabled.
The head of the Department of Welfare of the city of Mehriz also at
the meeting, while presenting a full report on the activities of the
Welfare Authority of the city, called for the City Council's special
support and follow up to implement the guidelines, sections and, in
particular, the comprehensive law on the protection of the rights of
persons with disabilities.
Alireza Alizadeh said that about 2,000 disabled and elderly people use
the services of the Mehriz Welfare Office, said: "At present, the
situation of fittings and urban furniture is inappropriate. Special
attention is being paid to the City Council and the mayor.
Referring to the articles and articles of the comprehensive law on the
protection of the rights of persons with disabilities, he stated that
cooperation and close interaction between the municipality and the
