The head of the Ardakan Welfare Organization announced the
implementation of the Disability Prevention and Screening Program on the
diagnosis of genetic disorders in Ardakan schools.
Dr. Amir Valezadzadeh added: "Over the past year, 1,720 students from
the 10th and 11th grade students of the girls 'and boys' high schools of
the city were covered by this plan.
He described awareness as the first positive step on the behavior and
performance of the community in order to improve the quality of life and
said: Knowledge transfer and skills can play an important role in the
prevention of disabilities, especially in the student population as the
country's future prospects.
Tezzadeh said that the training was taught to students on issues such
as the prevention of diseases and disabilities, the health of the
musculoskeletal system, eye health, auditory health, genetic diseases,
prevention of non-occupational accidents and prevention of traffic
accidents.
The responsible stated that the students would be referred to genetic
counseling centers after receiving the necessary training and completing
the questionnaire, if they were identified as a high-risk group.
He
reminded us: "We hope that by communicating prevention and screening
genetic disorders in the near future, we will see a good transformation
in the promotion of knowledge and reduction of genetic disorders."
