The head of the well-being of Meybod city has announced the implementation of the Poverty Reduction Plan for communities with a community-based approach to empower neighborhoods.
Seyyed Mohsen Fallah announced the empowerment of three neighborhoods in the city and said: "The country's well-being has defined a community-driven poverty alleviation program" and has been implemented in several districts in the province with the cooperation and participation of social work community clinics.
He added: "This project has been pilot and for the first time since 1988, in Shah Jahan Abad Second District and Shah Jahan Abad District, with ten more than 400 million rials, and will be implemented in the third neighborhood of Meybod in Shahidieh neighborhood in the near future."
Fallah emphasized: Using community participation to solve problems and problems is one of the approaches to coping with social issues and harm.
He further said, empowering local communities to reduce poverty through participatory approaches, based on the formulation and implementation of interventions, are among the goals of implementing this plan.
Fallah pointed out the implementation of the plan in the neighborhoods: After selecting the targeted neighborhoods during the design process, trustees and volunteers living in those neighborhoods through active participation and receiving the necessary training, with the help of the implementing clinics, designed and implemented interventions They work to control poverty in their neighborhood.
The Mayor of Yazidi province said: "With the implementation of this project, 2 Shah Jahan Abad and Vedeh Abad neighborhoods have been empowered, and this year we will see the implementation of this project in the municipality of Shahidieh."
He spoke about the goals of implementing the Poverty Reduction Plan for the localities: the purpose of implementing the local empowerment plan is to identify and assess the issues and needs of the surrounding environment in the neighborhood, and the ability to plan and implement the necessary measures and respond to issues and needs in a sustainable manner.
Fallah stated at the end: Teaching local people and neighborhood representatives and nongovernmental organizations related to designing, upgrading and finalizing the training model on local empowerment as a development center are other important goals of the plan.
