Taft is the second oldest city in the country

Taft, with the highest population of aging, is the second oldest city in the country, and the eldest city of the province.
Director General of Yazd's Yazd Welfare Organization announced this at the opening ceremony of Tafta's elderly daily center, saying 20% ​​of Taft population is elderly.
Dr. Jalil Efati, referring to the expansion of daily aging centers at the provincial level, said: "Well-being with the launch of these centers takes into account the social function, rehabilitation and medical care of the elderly."
He recalled the elderly healthy aging pattern and stated that preventing isolation in the elderly and increasing their presence in the community, according to their role and position, is one of the things that are followed in the daily centers of aging.
The 17th Century of the Elderly and the 13th Centers of Vision at the Home of Chronic Illnesses opened on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the Revolution in the morning with the presence of the Director General of Welfare, governor and a group of officials from the city of Taft.
